Remembering And Forgetting in 3D
Multimedia installation combining three 3D printed sculptures, projected images, text and sound.
Can feelings of the past, in the form of analog photography, be brought back again through the contemporary medium of 3D printing, in a way that visually relates to the process of remembering and forgetting?
In this project, I wanted to visualize and physicalize the memories of my grandmother. The recorded conversations guide the visuals, sometimes sharp, other times blurry, relating to how well she can remember them. The images are originally analog, taken between 1963 and 1976.
