Greetings, The Digital World

A glitch, found in google maps, put back into the real world, printed on PVC material

The digital world can be seen as a reflection of our real world. It's a place where we pet digital animals, do our online banking, and read the news. Things from the real world almost always end up online. What if we turn this around, and put some digital back in the real world?

In this project, I have created a real-life glitch by putting a found glitch from Google Maps back in the street. Do we still recognize something from our digital environment when it's put in a totally different place? I noticed that the glitch became a part of the landscape, as people started to walk over it and cars just didn't see it. I think this says a lot about our society; we're not capable of seeing the two worlds apart anymore.
